In a state of hypnosis, you are able to safely access these memories, and then shift the meaning and emotion that are associated with them. During a hypnotherapy session you will not have your memory of the traumatic event deleted – it doesn’t work that way – rather, the memory simply transforms into something that you can be at peace with.
